    Event Description:
    Seattle City Light is moving forward with its preferred option for system improvements at the Broad Street Substation. These improvements are necessary to meet energy demands of our growing region, reliably deliver power to customers, and increase the reliability of our region's power distribution grid. The preferred option includes a proposal to vacate a small area of the now closed portion of Broad St. (at Taylor Ave N. &  Harrison Street). As part of the street vacation approval process, City Light is required to present and obtain feedback on the project's urban design merit from Seattle Design Commission. This presentation, which is open to the public, is scheduled for March 15. There will be an opportunity for public comment. You can find out more regarding the street vacation process here.
