Supporting Business and Community in South Lake Union

About Us

In 2006, the Charter Board of Directors formed our organization to “enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the South Lake Union area through varied programs and services that benefit members and the community at large.”  This is our mission.

The Chamber works to advance the business, professional, civic and cultural interests of the South Lake Union area by:

  1. Encouraging the growth of business
  2. Supporting community activities
  3. Assisting members in connection to legislative and governmental matters
  4. Promoting the general welfare of area businesses, organizations and residents
 Join the Chamber today!

About Our Neighborhood

Chase JarvisSouth Lake Union is Seattle's downtown lake front neighborhood

Whether you’re looking for Neapolitan style pizza, a unique treat for your four-legged friend or a rejuvenating spa to relax the toes, South Lake Union has something to please everyone.  Exciting new places to dine, shop and discover are always opening.

The neighborhood is already home to several world-class companies including the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Rosetta/Merck, ZymoGenetics, Tommy Bahama, Jones Soda, NBBJ, University of Washington Medicine, Group Health Cooperative, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute and, soon, the new headquarters for Amazon.com.

Your Input Steers the Chamber

Input from Chamber members and other stakeholders in the community is the reason why we were incorporated as a business association.  In 2008 the City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development awarded the Chamber with a grant to help fund a series of educational workshops for the benefit of our members.

Help us determine meeting topics by completing the Educational Workshop Topics survey.
